This book is perfect for any coffee lover expecting a little one. It would be the perfect small addition to a baby shower gift or a stocking stuffer. Parents know the importance of reading with their children from birth and it's even more of a fun activity when the book is about a topic of interest. The content of the book is pretty technical and not quite infant reading material, but the pictures are engaging and colorful. Because of the subject matter, my toddler doesn't return to it like he does to his favorite books about trucks and trains, but he did sit through the whole thing when his dad read it to him. Because of the content, it's probably best suited as a gift for a new parent or any parent who wants to share their passion for coffee with their child. It would also be charming in a coffee shop kids' area!
This sweet board book is a great gift for new parents who love espresso. I got it for my nephew, whose parents make their own espresso at home. We thought it would be a comical gift, however, the book is very impressive. It takes the child through the story of how espresso is made. Starting at the bean harvest, each page takes the child through the process of how to make espresso and the tools used. It is simple and has nice pictures that would capture a child’s attention. My own toddler really enjoyed looking through the book, even though it was intended for her cousin!
I know this is advertised for children, but I really learned a lot with this book. The book is a standard hard cardboard book that's easy for my toddler to turn the pages. It has a ton of information on espresso: the process of making it, the different drinks you can make with espresso, etc. It is really informative and so much fun to read. The illustrations are eye-catching and provide perfect visuals for the information. I've learned so much reading this book to my toddler and I think I'm more obsessed with this book than she is. Overall this is an absolute must have for coffee enthusiasts who want their children to have the same passion for coffee or even childless coffee enthusiasts who want to learn about espresso in an easy illustrated way.
This is an adorable board book, and the illustrations are great. The listing says ages 0–6, but the vocabulary and concepts are well above that range. It works best as a read‑aloud where the adult explains things and the child asks questions, especially if they can connect the pictures to daily espresso‑making at home.We encourage hands‑on learning, but our kids are kept away from the espresso machines after essential parts went missing - the eldest is a genius with a screwdriver, which isn’t always good. They love books, so we’ll read this to them, but it’s honestly more for us than for them.
This is such a cute book!!! I’m always trying to find some entertaining books for my one year old, and this one immediately stood out. The board book is sturdy, and there were no flaws or rips upon opening. It was a good size for my son to hold and turn the pages. As a coffee lover, I can appreciate the content, but even more so as I notice my son actually not trying to squirm out of my lap every time I try to read. The pictures are bright and fun, and it’s easy to follow. I even learned some things from the diagrams! Of course, an older child would understand it a lot more, but it still manages to hold my son’s attention, so I can see this being a versatile book for a range of ages. This is such a unique, fun book. A great addition to our bookshelf.
This book was great for our sister who just loves coffee, they just had a newborn and I was looking for the perfect gift for them that wasn't the generic books or baby blankets. I was so happy to see her smile when she unwrapped it!
This is such a cute little book for a baby or toddler! I love the fun concept of introducing little ones to something like espresso in a way that’s playful and age-appropriate. It’s such a unique idea compared to the typical board books you see everywhere. The board book format is great for little hands, and it feels like the kind of book that would be fun to look through together with a little one. I also think it would make a really cute gift for parents who love coffee! Overall, this is an adorable addition to a little one's bookshelf. It’s fun, different, and has so much personality. Perfect for a coffee-loving family!
I love this book as a potential gift for a coffee-loving friend who has just announced they are expecting (might be cute to add to a baby shower basket as a gift for the mom-to-be). Or maybe to give to a new mom complaining she hasn't read anything but baby books in months. It would also work for someone who just loves anything coffee.Designed to mimic a children's board book, the pictures are large and engaging. The font is generally big and easy to read (on a couple of pages, there is smaller text on images explaining what pictures ar that is smaller than you'd typically find in a board book). The book itself measures 6 inches square by about 7/16 inch thick. The pages are a good thickness board quality with full gloss pages. On sale $9.99 (price as of the posting of this review), full price $12.99, the book is a good value. I'm not sure I'd pay full price for it though.
A Tiny Guide to Espresso is a cute and unique board book for little ones. The small, chunky format is easy for tiny hands to hold, and the sturdy pages make it a fun choice for babies and toddlers who are still learning to turn pages independently. The espresso theme is especially charming for coffee-loving parents, and the illustrations and simple format keep it light, playful, and engaging. It would make an adorable baby-shower gift, a fun addition to a kitchen book basket, or a sweet little gift for a family that loves their daily coffee routine.
