I love this little book! As soon as I saw it, I had to order it for my toddler! We love to read together, and this is a special book, that you wouldn't find at your average bookstore. It's very easy to read and brings some basic mushrooms and fungi strains to light. I never learned about how amazing mushrooms, and fungi could be until I was an adult. They are so delicious, and many of them can be used as medicine. I was thrilled to share this little book with my toddler, in the hopes that they will grow with more interest and an open-mind to the beauty of nature. And hopefully be more likely to eat mushrooms when they are served in a dish. This book covers a few common strains of mushrooms, mostly of the gourmet varieties. It's very fun, with cute illustrations.

The size of the book is perfect for children to hold onto, and the surface is very smooth. This thing just feels good in your hands.This may be aimed at children, but as I can personally attest, this will catch the eye of fungi foragers and cultivators like myself. I ordered this as a conversation piece and at the moment it lives in my reading nook in my kitchen. Hopefully someone will see it and it will give me another chance to speak about fungi!Each mushroom is a cute little character that captures the real features of each. This is a cute little board book that covers the main types of mushrooms used for culinary purposes. The book is well bound with colorful and fun illustrations and rhyming text. While it probably won't be a bedtime favorite, I'm hoping it'll help inspire my toddler to eat the mushrooms his dad regularly cooks with dinner.
I am expecting and having a baby in June. I'm doing a mushroom-themed shower and nursery and I loved the look of this book. It's even cuter than I expected! All the mushrooms are illustrated so adorably and they all have little eyes. It's informative however the text won't be applicable (though it does have fantastic vocabulary) until the child is older so I wouldn't say it exactly fits your expectations of a board book, but as a mushroom enthusiast, I hope this starts an interest in my kid early.The quality of the printing is clear and bright, and the thickness of the cardboard is adequately sturdy. Makes a lovely gift to a young nature-loving children and parents!
I got this book for my 1 year old twins and it is cute. I like the little write ups about the mushrooms, but also to be careful about mushrooms too. I'm pleased with it overall and would recommend it to others.
Bought this for my nephew’s birthday along with a little bug-catching kit, and it made for the absolute cutest gift. The 'Mushroom Explorer' theme is so unique and a nice break from the usual branded character tees you see everywhere. The quality is clearly top-notch and it looks like a high-end boutique find. I’m always a bit hesitant about graphic tees for kids because the designs tend to peel or crack so quickly, but this one is fantastic. It has survived multiple trips to the playground, a few mud puddles, and several hot wash cycles without losing its shape or fading the print. Really impressed with the quality!!
