I love this fun sweater! I got the criss cross applesauce print and it is so fitting for my toddler because her favorite food in the world is...you guessed it, applesauce. The material is high quality (100% cotton), well constructed, and I love the simplistic stripes and the ribbed hem on the bottom of the sweater and the sleeves. My daughter will be wearing this until she outgrows it. It is perfect for layering. The sweater is true to size and the fit is more relaxed (wider in the body). For care, I would either hang dry this or dry on low so the letters don't crack. Overall, lovely quality sweater and will last a long time to hand down to another toddler!
I got the "Criss Cross Applesauce" version for my 2-year-old and honestly wasn't sure what to expect from a brand I hadn't tried before. The red colorway is bold without being garish, and the puff print lettering has this satisfying raised texture that my kid immediately ran his fingers over - he was more interested in touching the letters than wearing it at first. The cotton is noticeably substantial for a toddler piece. A lot of kids' sweaters at this price feel thin after one wash, but this one came out of the dryer looking exactly like it went in. No shrinking, no fading, and the puff print stayed fully intact. The neck opening is relaxed enough that getting it over his head isn't a battle, which any parent of a toddler knows is not a small thing. The only consideration worth flagging is sizing - he is solidly in 2T and it fits well now, but there isn't a ton of growing room. If your kid is between sizes or runs bigger, I'd size up. That's a minor point though. For the price, the quality is genuinely above what I expected, and the design is the kind of thing that actually gets comments at the park.
I ordered the Little Book of Tomatoes as a gift for a friend who loves food and has two small boys, and it was perfect! It's a cute, clever foodie board book with fun illustrations and a charming style. They absolutely loved it, and it makes a great little gift for anyone who enjoys cooking or playful kitchen-themed books.
My little one absolutely LOVES tomatoes. When I saw this book - I knew she had to have it.It's adorable - and covers tomatoes even I haven't heard of!She loves the book and now is determined to try them all! I love how durable it is - a great addition to any early library!
This is so fun! I LOVED tomatoes growing up so when I saw this book I knew it was a need! It is great quality and has the cutest look tomatoes! It is both fun and educational! I love that it teaches about each tomatoes and shows accurate pictures! It is so colorful and easy to understand! This is such a cute and educational book!
As a family that enjoys gardening, I thought this "Little Book of Tomatoes" would be a fun addition to our kid's bookshelf. It's a very well-made board book, and the illustrations are fantastic—really vibrant colors that make the different tomatoes pop off the page. The rhymes are fun and clever, but this brings me to my one main critique and the reason for the 4-star review: the vocabulary does not match the 0-4 age range. Words like "saucier's," "oblong," and "heirloom" are not what you'd typically find in a board book.To be clear, this isn't a bad thing. It's just a book that you will be reading to your child for many years, not one they are going to learn to read themselves anytime soon. That said, for a family of foodies or gardeners, it's a charming and unique book that's priced very reasonably for its quality. It's a great find. Just be warned: reading it will almost certainly make you crave a big beefsteak tomato sandwich on white bread with a slather of Duke's Mayo.
I love when a kids book is just as fun for adults, and this one totally is. It's such a cute idea and we actually learned a lot about different types of tomatoes, which is perfect since we're growing some ourselves. The illustrations are adorable, the quality of the book is great, and it's sturdy enough for little hands. Definitely a favorite in our house.
I purchased this book for my 3-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter, and it has quickly become a favorite in our home. It is both educational and entertaining, with playful rhymes that highlight tomato varieties I grow myself, such as roma, beefsteak, and cherry, which added a personal touch I truly appreciated as a tomato gardening enthusiast. My son is captivated by the illustrations, while my daughter uses the book to practice her reading skills. The pages are thick and durable, holding up well to toddler handling. The artwork is cheerful and well-matched to the content, and the compact 6-by-6-inch size makes it easy for little hands to hold and flip through.Overall, I am pleased with this book and would gladly recommend it to other parents or gardening families!
This book is exactly as described. It is, quite literally, just a delightful little book about different types of tomatoes. No lessons, no morals, just tomatoes. It's super unique, and I do really love the colors and the art style as well. Definitely a great option for tomato lovers or if you're trying to expand a child's library!
Cute book with vibrant colors and well done art, although I would have liked it if the rhyming were a little more clever. If you are looking specifically for a book on tomatoes - get it! It's worth the money. ...but for your general book collection, I'd look for something that feels more special. Also, we've used it only a few times so far, and the pages aren't laying flat anymore. I love children's books and would say I have a high quality standard, so unlike my pickiness - I do think most people would be just fine with this.
This summer was all about tomatoes, so how perfect is this book to help learn about them! The illustrations are vivid and welcoming, the rhymes are cute and the information is really easy to grasp! You'll learn about many different types of tomatoes, from their names to their colors, to their shapes and sizes. This is a board book, and is a great quality at that, so it should hold up to lots of reading and playtime. The pace of the book is also good, I didn't feel like it was rushed and at no point did it lose the attention of the kiddos. Highly recommend these Chunky Deli books!
Nice board book for babies/toddlers! The art is cute and captivating. I (an adult) had not heard of most of these types of tomatoes so it was educational for me too! Would make a good gift for little ones that show interest in the kitchen.
I love board books for kiddos. A fun way to learn a variety of tomatoes especially if your kiddo is interested in gardening. This would be a cute gift with some seeds for a little one. The pics are adorable and simple which is perfect for a learning mind.
This book is just the cutest! This book is such a fun way to teach children about tomatoes. The pictures are big, colorful, and adorable, and the rhymes are brief but playful. Adults will have a lot of fun reading this book to children, and children will enjoy it without growing restless. I highly recommend! I can't wait to read the other books in the series; the Little Book of Pasta is next on my reading list!
This is a super cute little game! Its compact size makes it easy to travel with. It's a pretty simple design, with a lot of cards that inspire a lot of ideas on how they can be used to create games. The package comes with three game booklets, each catering to a different age group or difficulty level. These will get you started with some game ideas. The company encourages you to come up with games of your own and then to share them with others on their website. It's a simple but really fun design. I can see having a lot of fun with this game no matter what age you are.
When I saw Moody Food in my feed, I knew I had to add it to my collection. I didn't have anything for toddlers yet, and the bright colors and cute design were just perfect. The packaging looks like a tiny ice cream tub, and everything—from the cards to the instructions—is round and fun. This is that classic match game we all played as kids—flip the cards over, then try to remember where the matching faces are. It brought back memories. The instructions include a few different ways to play, but you can also make up your own games. I like the idea of asking toddlers to mimic the moods on the cards. It's a great interactive game for preschoolers, and now I have something fun and engaging to keep the little ones occupied during my community pop-up game days. Glad it's part of my collection.
